Across the Ocean
How it All Started.....
Melanie traveled from Australia to Arizona to be reunited with Sarah's brother Dean.Sarah and Melanie hit it off right away, laughing all the way home imagining the look on Dean's face when he got the BEST birthday surprise,Melanie!Three weeks past and Dean and Melanie were engaged! This was bitter -sweet moment, this was the last time they would see each other. So in an attempt to keep in touch, motivate each other they have created this blog, sewing projects, room decorating, book clubs, weight management, recipe swaps,etc.....We hope you enjoy!

Working Out Together
Good work out today Sarah, skype is amazing. Day 1 week one.
Sarah and i decided to work out together. So this is how we do it.
Sarah plays the Jillian Michaels No More trouble Zones DVD on her big TV and she points her web cam to it and i plug my computer via hdmi cable into my TV and Viola we work out together. Until i receive my copy off course then we can just skype and work out from our own TVs at the same time.
I discovered an app for my iphone a while ago called My Fitness Pal its a web site too and is great to record your food intake, and will let you know how many calories you've eaten for the day.
So three days a week, plus recording what we eat should work right????
anyway good work out, see you Friday.
Oh yeah biggest skype looser contestant get your skinny outfit ready i want to see a pic.
Till friday

Letters To A Friend
Dear Sara
Well hey its been awhile!! ive been wanting to write you this letter for a awhile now and thought i should just do it.
Anyway i just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for being there for me while i was feeling a bit blue. Having Baydan (my 5th child) was harder than i thought it would be. Thank goodness for modern technology hey. Because of Skype we were able to talk every single day. I know we don't so much anymore but at that point i really needed it. I Had the baby blues and you helped me through this. For those of you that may be reading this im telling you now.....talk to someone! My savior was you Sara and you live across the ocean. you called when i was at my most low and we talked about everything and anything! And actually i dont think you know just how down i was dear sister so yeah.

A Gift To Give
Sooo This Year at thanksgiving (the one where we are the only family missing as we live ACROSS THE OCEAN) everyone drew names for who to get a gift for we got the Mumma and Sarah got My sister in-law Rachael. We all have a $25 dollar limit, Sarah i want to see what you've got so far. Time is ticking on for me...and actually i dont think our gift will arrive before Christmas!
Well well Mel,I'm not sure if Rachael reads this so...what I can tell you is you have inspired me and most of her gift will be homemade!...

Glow-stick spiders
With Halloween just around the corner, and the kids out for fall break,we have been making lots of crafts, got to keep them busy. This one is really easy
Items needed:
*Styrofoam balls-you choose the size
*glow sticks
*googly eyes
So take a nail or screw and poke holes all the way through you may have to turn the ball over and do it on both sides.Next bend glow sticks and put in hole, glue on eyes.Or if your impatient use the glow stick it may come out uneven,I just pulled it out tried again and it came out fine, glue on eyes
Enjoy
Sarah
